LUXCARE HOTEL

Located at the southwest corner of Osaka Castle Park in Tanimachi 4-chome, this is one of the few hotels in Japan specializing in Universal Design. Its most distinctive feature is that the guest room designs were supervised by an Occupational Therapist.

Key Features:

• Electric Reclining Beds: Rooms are equipped with beds such as the Tempur Zero-G to assist with sitting up comfortably.

• Mist Showers: These showers warm the entire body while seated. (Note: While some rooms are shower-only without bathtubs, they allow for incredibly smooth transfers from a wheelchair.)

• Thoughtful Details: Every detail is optimized, including electric height-adjustable washstands and toilets set at the perfect height for standing and sitting.

Osaka Castle

Built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, this castle is the iconic symbol of Osaka. Situated within the vast Osaka Castle Park, the Main Tower functions as a history museum.

Despite being a historical structure, it has been well-adapted for accessibility. Ramps provide access from the ground level to the castle entrance, and an installed external elevator allows wheelchair users to reach the top-floor observatory. The panoramic view of the Osaka Plain from the top is breathtaking.

Dotonbori & Shinsaibashi Area

This bustling downtown hub in Osaka's "Minami" district is famous for iconic landmarks like the Glico Running Man sign and Kuidaore Taro.

The riverwalk along the Dotonbori River and the Shinsaibashi-suji Shopping Arcade offer flat, paved surfaces. As the arcade is covered, it ensures smooth and comfortable wheelchair mobility regardless of the weather. Here, you can immerse yourself in Osaka's vibrant energy and enjoy local gourmet specialties like Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki.

Todai-ji Temple

Located approximately one hour by car from Osaka, Nara is one of Japan's most iconic ancient capitals. Within Nara Park, where the "Nara Deer" (a designated National Natural Monument) roam freely, stands the Todai-ji Great Buddha Hall (Daibutsuden), one of the world's largest wooden structures.

The Great Buddha Hall is well-equipped for accessibility. Ramps allow wheelchair users to enter easily and get right up close to the Great Buddha statue. It promises to be a special day where you can be soothed by a thousand years of history and the company of adorable deer.
