Shodo, or Japanese calligraphy, is one of Japan’s most respected traditional art forms. Using a brush and ink, participants learn how to express balance, rhythm, and beauty through written characters.
In this workshop, an experienced instructor introduces the fundamentals of calligraphy, including brush techniques and ink usage. Participants will practice writing characters and create their own artwork, such as their name written in kanji or meaningful Japanese words.
The workshop takes place in a cultural experience facility near Tokyo Tower. The venue is designed with barrier-free access, elevators, and spacious seating areas so that wheelchair users and elderly guests can participate comfortably.
