Tour highlights
Door-to-door comfort
The entire journey from Hakata will be by "care taxi (with lift, etc.)". There is no stress of changing trains or dealing with crowds, so even those with concerns about their physical strength can participate with peace of mind.
A safe visit to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine
There are five wheelchair-accessible restrooms within the temple grounds, each large enough for a caregiver to enter together with the wheelchair user. The restroom next to the Treasure Hall is particularly popular with families, as it allows caregivers of the opposite sex to enter together.
Kyushu National Museum's latest barrier-free facilities
The facility is equipped with the latest facilities, including moving walkways and inclined elevators. The building is completely barrier-free, and there are multi-purpose toilets on each floor.
Approach gourmet food and a relaxing lunch
We offer a walking tour of the famous "Umegae Mochi" and lunch at a restaurant that is wheelchair accessible. We ensure smooth traffic flow even when it is crowded.
⚠ Notes on use
This service is an optional service for customers who have made travel arrangements, such as accommodation, through Flat Travel. We do not accept standalone use of the nursing care taxi arrangement service. Thank you for your understanding.

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (Prayer and Approach)

Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is the head shrine of approximately 12,000 shrines across the country, dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane, known as the god of learning, culture, and the arts. It is visited by many worshippers throughout the year, but is especially bustling during plum blossom season and exam season. The fragrant smell of roasting the shrine's specialty, Umegae Mochi, wafts through the air along the approach to the shrine, and it is lined with historic stores and a modern-looking Starbucks, making it a spot that will make your heart leap just by walking around.
A flat, paved path leads from the approach to the temple grounds, making wheelchair movement very smooth. Of particular note is the excellent restroom facilities. There are five wheelchair-accessible restrooms within the temple grounds, all of which are spacious enough to accommodate caregivers. The restroom next to the Treasure Hall in particular is designed to be accessible to caregivers of the opposite sex, making it safe for elderly couples or parents and children traveling together. In addition, detours (slopes) have been installed in areas with slopes and steps, such as the arched bridge leading to the main hall, so that wheelchair users can proceed to the front of the main hall and pray in their wheelchairs.
Kyushu National Museum

Kyushu National Museum, located next to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, is Japan's fourth national museum, and is based on the concept of "understanding the formation of Japanese culture from the perspective of Asian history." It is characterized by a huge glass roof with a wave-like curve, and boasts beautiful architecture that harmonizes with the surrounding greenery. The vast exhibition room displays valuable historical materials, including national treasures and important cultural properties, allowing you to experience the international historical story unique to Kyushu, the gateway to Japan.
This museum has achieved the highest level of barrier-free accessibility in both its physical and non-physical aspects. Access from the Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine direction is via the "Access Tunnel," followed by a moving walkway and an inclined elevator (or lift), allowing for smooth entry without any elevation changes. The museum has 15 wheelchairs available for rental, and a large elevator is available for moving between floors. Multi-purpose restrooms (including those for ostomates) are installed on each floor, so you can view the exhibits for extended periods without worry. Many of the display cases are designed at a height that is easy for wheelchair users to see, allowing anyone to enjoy a comfortable "journey through history."
Examples of available care taxis
We use medium-sized vehicles with ramps that allow wheelchair users to get on and off smoothly. Unlike lift-type vehicles, there is less shaking, making for a safer ride.

Ride capacity and accompanying person
A spacious taxi is available that can accommodate one wheelchair and 3-4 passengers.

Driver qualifications and assistance
Our drivers are qualified as "Home Helper Level 2 (currently: Nursing Care Worker Initial Training)" and "Guide Helper (Transportation Care Worker for the Totally Disabled)." They have not only driving skills, but also specialized knowledge in assisting passengers when boarding and disembarking, and ensuring safety during travel, so you can rest assured even if you are traveling alone.
