Tourist attraction: Former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Red Brick Building)

Built in 1888, this American Neo-Baroque-style building is a designated Important Cultural Property of Japan. Approximately 2.5 million bricks were used, and the gardens are a highlight, as they change with the seasons. The building has a historic feel, but as such there are steps. Assistance staff will accompany you on this tour, so you can enjoy the retro space with peace of mind.
Tourist attraction: Sapporo TV Tower

This 147.2m-tall tower stands at the starting point of Odori Park in the center of Sapporo. From the observation deck, which can be reached by elevator, you can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view of the grid-like cityscape of Sapporo, as well as the Sea of Japan and the Ishikari Plain in the distance. It is also a popular spot for viewing the winter snowscape and night view.
Tourist spot: Hokkaido Shrine, Rokkatei Jingu Chaya branch

This shrine was built in 1869 as the guardian deity of Hokkaido's development and expansion. The grounds are surrounded by a vast forest and are a treasure trove of nature, with cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in the spring and autumn leaves. One of the pleasures of visiting is Rokkatei, located within the shrine grounds. The Hangan-sama sold here is a grilled mochi made with buckwheat flour and filled with bean paste, and is a local favorite among visitors.
Hokkaido Shrine

This is a historic shrine that was built as the guardian deity of the development and expansion of the coastal road. The vast grounds, adjacent to Maruyama Park, are surrounded by the beautiful nature of the four seasons, with cherry blossoms and plum blossoms in the spring, fresh greenery in early summer, and autumn leaves in the fall. There is a gravel path along the approach to the shrine, but staff experienced in operating wheelchairs will provide thorough support, so you can safely visit the main hall.
Sapporo Clock Tower

Since its construction in 1878 (Meiji 11), this important cultural property has continued to watch over the development of Sapporo. The clear sound of the bell from Japan's oldest surviving tower clock still echoes through the city. We recommend taking commemorative photos with the building's exterior as a backdrop, as well as touring the interior. Although it is a historic building, it has been renovated to be barrier-free, and you can take the elevator up to the hall on the second floor. You can experience the historical romance of the pioneering era from the comfort of your wheelchair.
