Stay in the Fuji area

This resort area is surrounded by the natural beauty of the lake and highlands, with Mount Fuji at close range. Another attractive feature is its easy access, just an hour and a half by car from central Tokyo. Enjoy different spectacular views throughout the seasons: cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji in spring, escaping the heat in summer, autumn leaves in autumn, and a snow-capped Mount Fuji in winter. Oishi Park on the north shore of Lake Kawaguchi features a 350m "Flower Road," which offers spectacular views of lavender and Mount Fuji from June to July. The adjacent Fuji Oishi Hana Terrace is a stone-paved shopping area perfect for taking a break while gazing at Mount Fuji from its cafes and sweets shops.

For wheelchair users, we recommend the Lake Kawaguchi sightseeing boat "Appare." It is barrier-free and can be boarded in a wheelchair, and the approximately 20-minute cruise offers views of Mount Fuji and the Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge from the lake. In the direction of Lake Yamanaka, the sightseeing boat "Swan Lake" can be boarded in a wheelchair. Literature Forest Park is barrier-free throughout and wheelchairs are available for rental, allowing you to enjoy nature walks and literary appreciation.

Public transportation mainly consists of the Fujikyu Railway Line and local buses, but the number of services is limited, so please consider the optional chartered nursing care taxi tour.

Accessible Hotel in Fuji: Fuji Lake Hotel

Although it is a long-established resort founded in 1932 (Showa 7), it is the pinnacle of "people-friendly lodging" and has received the Barrier-Free and Universal Design Excellence Award.

With a total of 23 universal rooms across seven types, the hotel boasts outstanding barrier-free accessibility even among Japanese hotels and inns. The barrier-free corner room is fully flat, equipped with two electric reclining beds and a seated shower. From the guest room window, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko in all four seasons.
The "Lake View Private Bath" is equipped with a spacious, step-free changing room, a barrier-free toilet, and a lift for assisting bathing. With four washing areas and a spacious bathtub that can fit four to five people, you can enjoy a bath with your companions while gazing at Lake Kawaguchiko. In the "Fuji View Private Bath," you can also bathe while looking at Mount Fuji.

We offer shower carriers and transfer tables, can accommodate chopped and blended meals, and have wheelchair access to the karaoke rooms and treatment salons. We can also discuss providing welfare vehicles for transportation from Kawaguchiko Station.

About nursing care taxi transportation

Transfer area : Mishima Station (Shinkansen) ↔ Fuji Lake Hotel (approximately 60km one way)

You will travel from Mishima Station (a stop on the Tokaido Shinkansen) to the hotel in a special care taxi (approximately 60 km, 60 minutes).

Although the tour will pass through the mountain roads at the foot of Mt. Fuji, an experienced driver will ensure a safe journey. From the window, you can enjoy the changing appearance of Mt. Fuji with each season. On the way back, you will be taken to Mishima Station in a private car.

*As public transportation is limited in the Fuji area, we strongly recommend chartering a nursing care taxi for sightseeing during your stay (optional, additional fee). This will allow you to efficiently tour the tourist spots around Lake Kawaguchi.

This tour package only includes accommodation and transportation between accommodations (transportation by care taxi, etc.). Other local sightseeing tours, activities, meals, and other services are all optional (separate contract, separate fee).

2. Arranging and changing accommodation and vehicle reservations

Accommodation facilities and nursing care taxis will be arranged based on availability at the time of application. Availability is constantly changing, so if the requested accommodation is fully booked or full, we may be unable to accommodate your request and may ask you to change to a facility or vehicle of an equivalent class, or we may be unable to arrange the accommodation at all. • Responsibility for illness and trouble during the trip

  We offer travel insurance and 24-hour medical consultation support in case you become ill or experience any other unforeseen circumstances during your trip.
