Tour highlights

  • A one-day tour of Tokyo's past and present

The vibrant Tsukiji, the historic Asakusa and Meiji Shrine, and the trendsetting Ginza and Shibuya areas... We will efficiently take you door-to-door through the highlights of Tokyo, which are difficult to travel to on your own.

  • "Safe traffic flow" to avoid congestion

In crowded areas like Asakusa and Shibuya, we will guide you to back routes that are safe for wheelchairs and scenic spots with elevators. We will also observe and photograph scramble crossings from a safe location.

  • Reliable support system for gravel roads

Even though the gravel roads at Meiji Shrine and the walking paths at Hamarikyu are usually difficult for wheelchair users to navigate, we have chosen to provide paved, barrier-free routes. Assistance staff will be on hand to provide support as needed.

  • Experience Tokyo, the city of food

We have carefully selected restaurants that are wheelchair accessible, allowing you to experience Tokyo through your taste buds, from a food tour of Tsukiji to lunch at a sophisticated restaurant in Ginza.

Tsukiji Outer Market and Hamarikyu Gardens

Tsukiji Outer Market is a food theme park frequented by professional chefs. While there are many narrow alleys, the main street is wheelchair accessible, allowing visitors to enjoy fresh seafood and freshly cooked tamagoyaki eggs. The Tsukiji Uogashi rest area is barrier-free and has a multi-purpose toilet, so you can rest assured. The nearby Hama Rikyu Gardens is a unique spot where the high-rise buildings of Shiodome blend with the beauty of a garden from the Edo period. While some of the garden's roads are gravel, there are paved routes for wheelchairs, and a slope allows access to Nakajima no Ochaya. Take a break while enjoying matcha green tea.

Ginza and Asakusa area

Ginza, Japan's number one shopping district, has wide, flat sidewalks, making it extremely wheelchair-friendly. For lunch, enjoy Japanese cuisine such as tempura and sushi at a restaurant in a department store or hotel with barrier-free facilities, or at a famous street-side restaurant. In Asakusa, you'll be greeted by the large lantern of Kaminarimon Gate. Nakamise Street can be very crowded, but we'll head to the main hall by taking a back street and following smooth traffic lines. There's an elevator hidden in the main hall of Sensoji Temple, allowing you to go up to the shrine without using the stairs. We'll also guide you to a wheelchair-accessible incense burner, where people pray for good health by bathing in its smoke.

Meiji Shrine/Shibuya area

Meiji Shrine is a tranquil space surrounded by a deep forest. While the approach to the shrine is mainly a gravel road, there are paved, barrier-free walkways on both sides, allowing wheelchair users to easily access the main shrine. In the neighboring Harajuku area, enjoy the bustle of Takeshita Street from the car window as you comfortably drive along the tree-lined streets of Omotesando. The journey concludes at Shibuya Scramble Crossing. While it is dangerous to enter the crowds, we will guide you to photo spots where you can safely look down on the "world's greatest intersection" even in a wheelchair, such as the connecting walkway within the station and the observation spaces of surrounding buildings. We will also take commemorative photos with the statue of Hachiko, the faithful dog, while checking the crowd situation.
